Standardization allows, first of all, to speak the same language and understand each other manufacturers from different countries, because instead of a complex, long and often incomprehensible definition of color, certain letters and numbers are introduced. That is why all industrial production, for which the correct selection of colors is important (paints and varnishes, plastics production, etc.), know very well what RAL is. RAL is a German color standard developed in 1927 by the State Committee for Delivery Conditions (Reichs-Ausschuss fur Lieferbedingungen) at the request of paint manufacturers. What is RAL? Is it helpful? Can we use it in our daily life? We tried to find even variations of different color names in the RAL palette. Who invented it? What new has this standard brought to our lives? How does it make our life easier? In what areas it is used, applied and improved. The article tells about the international color standard RAL (RAL), its appearance, development, use and its features today. The closer this parameter approaches the minimum, the more the tone fades and, ultimately, reaching zero, becomes just a shade of gray. The next parameter (Saturation), which determines the saturation of the tone, is calculated as a percentage from 0% to 100%. The brightness of a color can be described as the amount of light you want to give to a color, where 0% means no light (black), 50% means 50% light (neither dark nor light), 100% means full brightness (white). HSL works the same way our brain perceives colors: a color that we can manipulate with brightness and saturation. HSL / HSLA Color Method - HSL stands for Hue, Saturation, and Lightness. In fact, here you can draw parallels with the RGB color space, and you probably already heard about it somewhere, and I have talked about color profiles more than once. The HSL color model, also sometimes called the HSL color space, is one of the ways to convey colors in images.
